She is passionate about producing meaningful change for families. Alexis creates individualized treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The behavior therapists that are part of Skylight’s team have an exceptional level of compassion for families they work with. All therapists at Skylight Autism Center are Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), which is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA, BCaBA or FL-CBA. The RBT goes through an extensive 40-hours of training, will complete a Competency Assessment and pass the RBT examination. The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. The therapists are primarily responsible for carrying out behavior-analytic treatment for children with autism. They provide care in a one-on-one situation, helping improve the individual’s skills and help them reach their individual goals. Our therapists work closely with the families of to teach them methods of assisting their child in developing life skills. They carefully track the child’s progress and are closely supervised and mentored by experienced, master’s-level BCBA and BCaBA specialists. These clinical supervisors observe therapy sessions, and provide feedback to improve progress for the individual.
